The Buck 110 Folding Hunter is one of America's most recognized traditional folding knives, combining a substantial lockback design with the dependable cutting performance that has made it a favorite among hunters and outdoorsmen for generations. First introduced in 1963, the 110 helped establish the folding lockback as a practical alternative to carrying a fixed-blade hunting knife.
The BU110 features genuine ebony wood handles, polished brass bolsters, and a 3.75-inch 420HC stainless steel Clip Point blade, preserving the classic appearance that has defined the Folding Hunter for decades. Its solid construction and included black leather belt sheath make this American-made knife equally suited for outdoor work, everyday utility, and collecting.
Description
The Buck 110 Folding Hunter features a traditional Clip Point blade that provides a useful combination of cutting edge and precise tip control. Its 3.75-inch blade offers plenty of working length for hunting, camp chores, and general-purpose cutting, while the lockback mechanism holds the blade securely open during use.
Buck uses 420HC stainless steel with its proprietary heat treatment to provide a practical balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance, toughness, and ease of sharpening. The blade is finished with Buck's familiar satin appearance, complementing the knife's traditional design.
The genuine ebony wood handle gives the BU110 much of its character. Dark natural wood grain contrasts with the polished brass bolsters, creating the recognizable look of the classic Buck Folding Hunter. Each handle may display subtle variations in grain and color, adding individuality to the knife.
At 4.88 inches closed and approximately 7.2 ounces, the Buck 110 is a substantial folding knife designed for users who appreciate a solid working tool. The included black leather belt sheath provides convenient carry without occupying pocket space.
Collector Notes
Introduced in 1963 by Buck Knives, the Model 110 Folding Hunter became one of the company's most influential designs. Its combination of a strong lockback mechanism, full-size hunting blade, and traditional handle materials helped establish a new standard for folding hunting knives.
The 110 remains closely associated with American knife-making heritage. The genuine ebony wood and brass construction preserve the recognizable styling of the original design, making this model appealing to longtime Buck owners and collectors alike.
