The Case XX Medium Stockman is a traditional three-blade pocket knife designed to handle a variety of everyday cutting tasks in one convenient package. Its Clip, Sheepsfoot, and Spey blade combination has made the Stockman a longtime favorite among farmers, ranchers, tradesmen, and collectors who appreciate a dependable working knife.
The CA039 stands out with genuine Amber Bone handles featuring traditional Peach Seed jigging, paired with three Case carbon steel blades. Warm amber coloring, polished nickel silver bolsters, and the familiar Case shield give this American-made Stockman the classic appearance that has made Case knives recognizable for generations.
Description
The Medium Stockman offers three distinct blade shapes, each serving a practical purpose. The Clip blade handles general cutting and tasks requiring a pointed tip, the Sheepsfoot blade provides a straight cutting edge for controlled slicing, and the Spey blade offers a rounded profile for utility work.
The blades are made from Case carbon steel, traditionally identified as Chrome Vanadium (CV). This steel is appreciated for its ability to take a keen edge and its ease of resharpening. Unlike stainless steel, carbon steel requires occasional oiling and careful drying to help prevent rust. With use, the blades may develop a natural patina.
The genuine Amber Bone handles feature Case's traditional Peach Seed jigging, creating a textured surface with warm brown and golden tones. Because bone is a natural material, variations in color, grain, and jigging make each knife slightly different.
At 3⅝ inches closed, the Medium Stockman offers a practical balance between cutting versatility and comfortable pocket carry. Its traditional slip-joint construction and nail-nick blade openings preserve the familiar operation of a classic American pocket knife.
Collector Notes
The Stockman pattern has longstanding roots in American agricultural and working-knife traditions. Its three-blade configuration gave users multiple cutting profiles without needing to carry several separate knives.
The CA039 belongs to Case's Amber Bone carbon steel family, combining one of the company's most recognizable traditional handle treatments with a steel favored by many longtime Case enthusiasts.

Whether you're looking for a dependable everyday pocket knife or adding another traditional Case pattern to your collection, the CA039 Medium Stockman combines three practical cutting blades with the warm character of Amber Bone and classic American craftsmanship.
Each knife is new and comes in original factory packaging. Due to the use of manufacturing processes and natural handle materials, slight variations in color, grain, jigging, and finish are normal. Carbon steel blades require routine cleaning and occasional oiling to help prevent corrosion.
